The Portal collects only the minimum necessary data to authenticate students and track practical exercise progress:
- Google Account Data: When signing in via Google OAuth, your first name, last name, and email address are retrieved from your Google profile.
- Google Classroom Data: Your name and email address as synchronized by your instructor via Google Classroom.
- Practice Progress: Exercises completed within the portal, Jira tickets submitted, Slack simulation messages, and test results.
3. Purpose of Data Use
Collected information is strictly used for the following purposes:
- Authenticating student identity and providing access to the Portal.
- Recording progress and outcomes of practical assignments (e.g., test case writing, Jira bug logging).
- Enabling instructors to evaluate student activity to continuously improve course quality.
4. Data Protection and Storage
All personal and academic data is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure within Firestore databases. Data security is enforced through Firestore Security Rules: data is accessible exclusively to authorized authors and system administrators. Your information is never sold, shared with third parties, or publicly disclosed under any circumstances.
5. User Rights
Students may request complete deletion of their accounts and all stored progress data at any time by contacting course administration or their instructor.
